It can be a slow old process, writing and all of its associated peculiarities. Often we make excuses for not having enough time for writing when the truth is that we just give time to other things – like TV. If we really want to do anything at all then we will. It’s all about choices and following them through. We do it all the time. I had a friend once who never had money for anything but then took two expensive holidays and bought a new car, so he did have money just not for most things. I once stood in queue behind a young mother who had asked the cashier for a bottle of booze and some cigarettes before she pondered he remaining finances with a a hefty sigh before resigning to the fact that she could afford nappies for her infant after all. It’s all a matter of priorities – isn’t it?
